Sabrina Monique was born in White Plains, New York. After growing up outside of New York City, she developed a passion for Musical Theatre and the arts at an extremely young age. Sabrina Monique began her dance training at the age of three and continued her training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip-Hop/Street dance, and Latin dance throughout her youth while receiving classical voice training. During this time she was performing in regional and educational theatre portraying roles including Hildy in On The Town, The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, and Martha in The Secret Garden. Sabrina Monique also gave her teen years to working with children at an intensive theatre camp program, teaching dance and music to children from ages five to sixteen. During her senior year of school she received The Performance Arts Theatre award for demonstrating a supportive attitude toward her school’s theatre program and a versatility of character in a variety of roles.
Sabrina moved to Manhattan to pursue her training and is a recent graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, a two year Conservatory program. During her studies she received training in Meisner Technique, Shakespeare, Camera Technique, Movement, and Voice and Speech, making her IPA proficient. She most recently portrayed the role of Eurydice in Naomi Iizuka’s contemporary play Polaroid Stories. Sabrina Monique is under the current vocal training of Robert Marks and continues her dance practice. On her days off she is studying communications at PACE University in Manhattan while also studying the Italian language for her 7th consecutive year.
One of the Nation’s youngest Bariatric Weight Loss Patients, Sabrina Monique is a mentor for younger girls struggling with body image and dedicates a lot of her time to physical fitness. Sabrina can be found in the boxing ring, on horseback, in a kayak, or at high altitudes hiking to her next adventure.
